Trade Intelligence Operations

An AI operating brain
for freight forwarders.

Freight forwarders run complex operations on email threads, spreadsheets, and tribal knowledge. TIO closes that gap. It connects your inbox to your TMS, organizes every job, handles the compliance pre-fill, and gives your whole team a plain-English interface to query anything about their freight operation.

Where this came from

The problem became visible working closely with a New York-based ocean import forwarder. They were managing a full back-office operation: 80-plus jobs a month, multiple agents in Shanghai, a licensed broker for CBP submissions, and a three-person team keeping all of it organized through Outlook and their TMS.

The operation was clean and professional. The workflow was manual by necessity — not because no one cared, but because nothing had been built for this segment. Enterprise freight platforms are priced and scoped for the DHL-sized operations. Nothing fit a 5-person shop running close to 200 jobs a month.

TIO is the answer to that gap. It sits between the inbox and the TMS — reading pre-alerts, organizing jobs, pre-filling compliance documents, and eventually letting the whole team query their operation in plain English. It does not replace the TMS. It makes the TMS require half the labor to operate.

How we build

01

Human in the loop. Always.

TIO does not act autonomously on regulated workflows. Compliance pre-fills are reviewed and approved by a team member before anything reaches the TMS or CBP. This is a hard rule, not a feature toggle. Liability is real and it rests on the filer of record.

02

Integrator, not replacement.

Your team runs CargoWise, Magaya, or any other TMS. TIO sits between your inbox and your TMS, pre-filling the data so your team doesn't retype it. We are not trying to be a TMS — we are trying to make the TMS you already pay for require half the labor.

03

Built for the daily operator, not the boardroom.

The enterprise freight platforms ship for teams with dedicated IT and six-figure software budgets. TIO builds for the operator who opens their TMS every morning and lives in Outlook. Filers, ops managers, dispatchers, accounts payable. The people doing the actual work.

04

Prompt injection is a compliance risk.

An LLM reading commercial invoices and booking emails is an attack surface. A malicious document could inject instructions that corrupt extracted fields. TIO runs a 4-layer defense stack on every LLM call: fenced data blocks, field whitelisting, format validation, anomaly heuristics.

Current status

TIO is in active pilot with a first cohort of small freight forwarders. The platform is built against real shipment emails and tested against live TMS APIs. Early customers get direct founder access, locked first-year pricing, and the natural-language AI query interface, live today.
