The problem became visible working closely with a New York-based ocean import forwarder. They ran a full back-office operation: 200 to 500 active jobs across ocean import and trucking at any given time, multiple overseas agents, a licensed broker for CBP submissions, and a small team keeping all of it organized through Outlook and their TMS. The process worked. It just consumed hours a day on data entry that a computer should be able to do. TIO started as the answer to that, and the agents grew out of the real work.

Prompt injection is a compliance risk
During document extraction, we separate source text from the model’s instructions, validate allowed fields and formats, and check for manipulation patterns. These checks reduce the risk that an email or document changes the task.
A founder inside the operation, not above it.
TIO is built by Ridge Choi, its founder, who works inside the daily operations the agents run in, across freight forwarding and trucking: the same inbox, the same filings, the same deadlines the product exists to serve. Agent rules start from real corrections on real shipments, not a product spec written at a distance. Ridge Choi writes the posts on the blog, and each operating figure on this site names where it was measured.

The agents run in production today for a US international freight forwarder and a domestic LTL and FTL trucking operation. They create lots, quote freight, create the order when a customer accepts a quote, track shipments, match vendor invoices to the job’s charges, and prepare customs filing data as a draft for a person to file. A standing audit agent re-checks finished records against their source documents. Inbox triage is in pilot. We are taking on the next few forwarders and trucking agencies now.
