What it is

An agent layer for CargoWise, not a replacement for it.

An agent layer is a set of agents that sit between your email inbox and your TMS. They read inbound freight documents, work out the fields, and prepare the record in the TMS so your team checks the result instead of typing it. Your job management, billing, and customs filing stay in CargoWise. An adapter for CargoWise is not built today. Adapters are in production for two other TMS platforms. For CargoWise, TIO first checks what your access lets an agent read and write, then scopes the work with you. Each TMS needs its own adapter before an agent can write to it.

What an agent layer does

Read the documents, prepare the record, send exceptions to a person.

Documents read

The order entry agent reads the master bill, house bill, packing list or delivery order and works out the fields.

Record prepared

It creates the lot or delivery order in the TMS, charge lines included, and sends a review email that shows every field. This needs an adapter for that TMS. None exists for CargoWise today.

Your team sets the limits

Each action has its own setting. It runs on its own, it is sent for review, or it waits for a person’s reply. Your TMS workflow stays as it is.

Exceptions go to a person

A party the agent cannot match, or a document that contradicts another, goes to a person with the facts already attached.

Keep CargoWise. Recover the ops hours it does not touch.

Switching your TMS is a long migration with real operational risk while throughput drops. Hiring more staff buys manual capacity that scales one to one with volume. An agent layer keeps CargoWise as your system of record and takes the manual prep off your team’s plate once its adapter exists. A first agent starts as a scoped pilot on your own documents. What takes time is the adapter for your TMS and your rules for the job.
